Helen Skov, has lived in Hawaii for 31 years
and considers these Islands "the only place to live." She was born
in Fresno, California, raised in Bakersfield, educated at the University
of California, Berkeley and taught high school in the San Francisco
Bay Area. Prior to teaching, Helen spent one year in Copenhagen,
Denmark and two in Bangkok, Thailand where she worked for the U.S./Thai
Navy. Helen came to Cathy George & Associates Inc. in March 1994
after 15 years full-time heading the Rental Department of a large
local firm. Helen prefers to work exclusively in property management.
She feels each situation is unique and finds the matching of owners
and tenants fast and challenging. Helen has chaired the Elections
Committee for the Honolulu Board of Realtors, and served on the
Forms Committee for the Hawaii Association of Realtors. In addition,
Helen is secretary for several equestrian events during the year,
and is Immediate Past President of the U.C. Alumni Association.
She enjoys watching UH volleyball, traveling, especially to the
West Coast to see her two grown children and grandson.
